EUROPEAN SOCIAL SECURITY LAW BOOK‏.- Practitioners of law specialized in social security needs to be up-to-date on the most recent developments in legislation, jurisprudence and best practice in this field.

The new EU social security coordination rules entered into force on 1 May 2010. The new legal framework significantly modernises and simplifies the rules for coordination of social security systems. One of the main innovations is the obligation to exchange data electronically between institutions by 1 May 2012 through the EESSI system.

The new forthcoming book on the subject, published in and and authored by Salvador Trinxet Llorca ( will discuss the experience of the first year of the implementation of the new coordination regulations. Attention will also be paid to the recent jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice. Furthermore, the book will provide participants with an update on legislative developments in this field.
